What Is CoSoulmates?

Since we launched CoSoul, 11,000+ mints ago, many new Coordinape fans have been asking us: “How do I join a circle to start receiving Public GIVE?”  Until now, our answer has been “find a DAO that uses Coordinape and get involved.”

While decentralized reputation may be strongest when based on known projects and trusted teams, it doesn’t have to emerge solely from those spaces. We are eager to throw the doors open to anyone that wants to join Coordinape and start building connections.  Web3 is about open, scaled collaboration, and we’ve seen reputation emerge from all sides of it.

So, to that end, we’ve built our first social experiment, the CoSoulmates circle.  CoSoulmates is a place in Coordinape to find other web3 contributors, represent your interests and accomplishments, and get acknowledged by your peers.  Our hope is that this is fertile ground to get started in the Coordinape ecosystem, build up your first Public GIVE, and orient for the Future of Work.

And, to make this more fun, we are incentivizing the CoSoulmates circle with ONE MILLION DAO TOKENS!  That’s right, 1,000,000 tokens from our favorite projects will be market-bought and distributed to the top GIVE receivers in the CoSoulmates circle over the course of three months. We want to highlight our favorite teams using Coordinape, and give back.

Our goals with this experiment are to give Coordinape users a forum to get to know the platform, and to catalyze the accrual of Public GIVE for new CoSouls holders via peer assessment.  And, we think it will be fun to yolo some DAO tokens to see what happens. Lets F around and find out.

How to Participate

1. JOIN

• Join the CoSoulmates circle Here!
• Please note that the circle is gated for CoSoul holders.  If you don’t own a CoSoul in your connected wallet, you can mint one here, on Optimism.
• Now that you are in, start your Coordinape Profile - be sure to select some Skill Tags representing areas of expertise or interest. This may be the best way for people that share your interests to find you.
• Consider adding a way to connect, like a Discord handle or Twitter handle, if you’re into it.

2. GET GIVE

• Add Contributions - what have you done in Web3 that is notable and worth getting some props for?

Examples:

• I was an NFT OG and made early generative art.
• I helped fork Yearn five times during DeFi summer.
• I have done branding and marketing for three web3 projects.
• I launched 30 memecoins since 2022.

• Get GIVE. Your frens, people that appreciate your contributions, etc, can send GIVE to you.  This will boost your chances of winning some DAO tokens, and will build your first pGIVE rep.

3. GIVE GIVE

• Send GIVE.  Find others in the CoSoulmates circle that share your interests, or whose contributions you think are great, and send them some GIVE.  We think GIVE is the most meaningful when you’ve experienced working with some one directly, or benefited form their contributions your self, but sending GIVE is a gut process. Trust your instincts, and have fun in this one.

4. GET REWARDS

• We are running 3 epochs over the next 3 months.  These epochs will cumulatively synch as pGIVE automagically each month, and the top five pGIVE holders from each epoch of CoSoulmates will get a distribution of DAO tokens from our favorite projects.
• Please note, our terms of service will need to be agreed to to participate in the circle.  
• So, get in there, post up your profile and contributions to Web3, and get GIVING! We just know your CoSoulmates are out there somewhere.
