When we said GIVE is coming to Farcaster, we meant business.  And when we mean business - we meant we’ve come to PARTY!

TL;DR:

GIVE.Party is a new feature built on Farcaster by Coordinape where users can host events (called "GIVE parties") to collectively endorse skills of others. By posting a custom URL, anyone can start a party for a specific skill. Others can join and send GIVE as a form of recognition to people they believe excel in that skill.

What is GIVE.Party?

In addition to Givebot, which allows you to send peer-to-peer GIVE in Farcaster through bot commands, GIVE.Party allows anyone to kick off a communal GIVE explosion around a specific Skill tag.  Warpcaster qDAUs can use this to collectively generate lists of people whom we think are awesome at any given thing, via Coordinape GIVE.  And, it all happens in a single cast and frame.  Super easy.

While this is a lot of fun, it’s also a great way to start to enrich the decentralized social graph with attestations as to who is awesome at what.  And in the emerging web3 identity and networking universe, we think this is a pretty handy thing to participate in!

Here’s how it works:

Start a GIVE party by launching your custom Frame on Farcaster (its easy):

• Post a URL like this: https://give.party/skill-you-want-to-party-around
• replace the end of the URL with whatever you want your peers to attest people for:
  • art
  • dev-ops
  • design
  • didgeridoo
  • frames-design
  • daoist
  • etc.
  • we think Skills can be anything, have fun interacting with people in your areas of passion, and be creative!

Once your give party frame is live, anyone can participate by interacting with it:

• Anyone can use the frame to enter a Farcaster username (@inversebrah, etc) for the person they want to recognize.
• This will allow us to send a GIVE to the user they name, signaling their attestation for the skill the party represents.
• GIVE, of course, is a scarce resource (always has been), though it recharges over time.
• If the user interacting with the frame runs out of GIVE, they will have to wait or level themselves up to get more.

As a party person, you will get party favors for having started the party!

• Party Starters will get Coordinape Rep Points for their parties!  Every party gets a little, really big parties get a lot.
• We appreciate you, and s-tier party starting skills are simply not something everyone has.

4. Want your GIVE on chain?

• we’ll prompt anyone that gets GIVE in the party to mint a CoSoul (its free, and we’re covering gas), so they can be part of the biggest party of all.
